No skiing, no problem

Beaver Creek may be known for world-class skiing, but it’s equally as known for events off the slopes.  Want excitement and thrill?  Try snowmobiling at Camp Hale.  Want peace and quiet?  Take the Strawberry Park Express to McCoy Park for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.  Whatever you want to try this winter, our concierge can help you make your trip the best yet!

South of Beaver Creek sits Camp Hale, the 10th Mountain Division training area from World War II.  From there, you can take snowmobiles to scenic viewing areas.  Not up for an adventure?   Don’t worry, you can ride with a buddy or take a more mellow trip.

Snowshoeing and Cross-Country Skiing
Located at the top of the Strawberry Park Express, McCoy Park offers snowshoers approximately 20 miles of snowshoe and cross-country ski trails.  Make a day of it and bring lunch to the Yurt.  From there you’ll be only a few minutes from the Overlook with spectacular views of New York Mountain.  The Beaver Creek Nordic Center offers lessons and rentals for all of your family!

Gourmet dining meets bowling at Bol in Vail.  This family-friendly and contemporary bowling alley offers a unique experience for your entire family.  Bol is located in the Solaris in Vail and includes a full bar and restaurant.  Don’t miss the tuna poke, burger, and flatbreads.

Ice Skating
The Black Family Ice Rink in the heart of Beaver Creek Village is open year round for your skating pleasure.  For those who want to spectate, seating and fire pits around the rink are available.

Adventure Ridge
From snowshoeing to the Mountain Coaster, Adventure Ridge has activities for everyone in your family.  Take the Eagle Bahn Gondola from Lionshead and make a day event with lunch at Bistro 14 at Eagle’s Nest (the top of the gondola).
