Traveling to Beaver Creek and getting around town

Airport Transportation

Beaver Creek is conveniently located just 30 minutes east of the Vail/Eagle Airport (EGE) and 2-1/2 hours west of the Denver International Airport (DEN). Both airports offer a multitude of options for your transportation to and from Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch resorts. Whether you are looking for a seat on a shared shuttle or a private, luxury vehicle for your group, your Beaver Creek Mountain Lodging concierge can help you find the perfect transportation.

If you are flying into Vail/Eagle, it is about a 30-minute drive from Eagle to Beaver Creek. Options for getting from the airport to Beaver Creek include:

  • A privately chauffeured SUV (seats up to 5 people)
  • A private Mercedes Sprinter van (seats up to 11 people)
  • Shared shuttle
  • Taxi service 
  • Rental car (During winter months, vehicles come equipped with snow tires and roof rack carriers can be requested.)

It is a 2-1/2 hour drive from Denver International Airport to Beaver Creek. Transportation options between the airport and Beaver Creek include:

Getting around Beaver Creek & surrounding areas

Many of our guests discover they don’t need a car once they’ve arrived to the resort. Complimentary Village Transportation can take you anywhere within Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch with just a quick call.  And many of our properties are ski-in/ski-out and walking distance to the Village.

But if you do want to venture out, options abound to get you out to see the rest of the Vail Valley.

Village Transportation

This complimentary inter-resort shuttle operates within Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch for guests.  There are fixed routes with pickups at several stops throughout Beaver Creek during the winter. The shuttle circulates continuously during the daytime, reaching each stop every 15 – 20 minutes.  For guests off fixed route service, the shuttle is available on call at 970.949.1938 to request a ride within the resort.

Taxi Service

High Mountain Taxi provides 24-hour door to door service between Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Cordillera, Eagle County Regional Airport and Aspen. Reservations are accepted. 970.524.5555

Eagle County Bus System

Eagle County Transit, known as “ECO Transit” operates a bus service between Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, and Edwards. You can catch the buses at the Reception Center by the main gate or the Bear Lot by the west entrance to Beaver Creek.  Cost is $7 each way.

Buses to Avon | Avon Transit System

The Town of Avon buses are free and run to Beaver Creek Village from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm during the winter ski season between the Covered Bridge Transportation Center and Avon Station near the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa.

Once in Avon, year-round bus service is provided by the Avon Transit Red, Black and Blue Routes, which will get you to restaurants, the library, recreation center, parks, medical facilities, banks, and shops around Avon.

Avon Transit also runs an Avon Restaurant Shuttle mid-December to April 1 from the Beaver Creek Covered Bridge Transportation Center.  This shuttle runs from 6:00-10: 00 pm and makes stops near most of Avon’s restaurants including Maya at the Westin, Vin 48, Blue Plate, Loaded Joe’s, Pazzo’s, and Nozawa.

Town of Vail Buses

Town of Vail Buses are free and run regularly between Golden Peak at the eastern end of Vail Village and Lionshead at the western end with stops throughout the village. Scheduled buses to East Vail and West Vail run frequently as well. The Vail Transportation Center is located across from the Covered Bridge in Vail, near the Ski Museum.

Transportation between Beaver Creek and Vail

You have three options to get between resorts.  High Mountain Taxi 970-524-5555 or ECO Transit bus or car service. Buses leave from the Beaver Creek Reception Center next to the main gate and the Vail Transportation Center about every half-hour from 6:00 am to 2:00 am.
